Job Ref. :eng15276 Engineering Project Designer   Job Location: Luton   Terms: Permanent only   Salary: Competitive dep upon experience Job Details Hall Stage works in the Theatre, Film and TV engineering industry and manufactures many leading products for this specialised niche market. Having won a string of awards for new products and innovation, the business is keen to recruit a forward thinking and creative member of the Engineering Design group. The successful candidate will have good CAD & general computer skills, with a general interest in this creative sector. They may come from Engineering, Construction or Project Management backgrounds. They will be expected to work both in teams and on their own and will report directly to the design group manager. This position will be mainly office based with some travel – UK & overseas - and site work involved. Responsibilities involve:- Day to day running of contract projects to keep within budget and time constraints. Preparation of detailed quotations for client approval Preparation of contract tender document submittals against consultant specifications Preparation of site survey information for preparation of design / quotation information Standard Hall Stage products development and design Contact with existing / potential clients and consultants Chairing meetings on projects and design development Role involves use of the following software:- AutoCad 2000/2004 LT Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel Microsoft Project We will not provide UK work permits.
