Job Details
| The Role:
The primary functions of this role are to prepare detailed quotations for spares, site service activities and machine repair or refurbishment for submission to customers world-wide.
The Candidate:
* Will have a background in mechanical engineering or similar
* This position will be a very demanding role often working under pressure to tight deadlines to meet customer demands.
*You will work as part of a team whose function is to ensure our customers achieve the best performance from Peter Brotherhood equipment ensuring long-term relationships and future business for our company.
*You will also be expected to support the external sales staff from the office and in front of the customer
* You will require to develop a good broad base knowledge of PBL products and procedures as providing the detailed estimates will involve identifying a thorough scope of work to enable you to prepare the final prices.
*With the majority of our enquiries it is now necessary to comply with C.D.M regulations which may involve the detailed preparation of method statements and risk assessments. Some of the quotations will be for Routine Servicing, Emergency Breakdowns, Maintenance Contracts and other work at the customer’s site and therefore, the ideal candidate will possess some knowledge of site work activities.
*Up to date with all standard office PC packages
It will also be necessary to visit various UK sites to assess the requirements of site accomodation, craneage etc. in order to compile the quotations
A good understanding of Commercial Terms and Conditions is also desirable.
Other responsibilities include working closely with Process and Energy Design Department, and responding to customers’ enquiries for re-rating or upgrading of equipment.
