| Aircogen were chosen by Airbus to design, manufacture and install six AirCHP systems, for three new buildings at the Airbus site at Broughton, in North Wales. The buildings will be used to manufacture wing components for Airbus aircraft including the new Airbus A380, a double deck giant that will seat 555 people and is one third bigger than the largest aircraft in operation today. The aircraft is scheduled to enter commercial service in 2006.
The Role: Your primary role as Site Services Co-ordinator will be to provide daily hands-on on-site service support to Airbus, through Alfred McAlpine Business Services. A key part of this will be to develop and manage the customer service relationship as well as being at the front line of action in emergencies. From time to time, you will also provide service support at other sites around the UK.
Key Tasks & Accountabilities with this role are: „h To contribute to the ongoing development of Aircogen¡¦s CHP solutions. „h To contribute to the development of Phase III of the Airbus project. „h When appropriate recommend enhancements to CHP solutions. „h Operation and maintenance of the AirCHP systems to maintain the minimum availability of the systems required by the contract. „h Organisation of all maintenance activities including the co-ordination and overseeing of sub-contract labour required. „h Co-ordination of activities with McAlpine Business Services personnel on site. „h Assistance in the compilation of information for routine and exceptional item reporting. „h Co-operation with other Aircogen specialists to ensure the system operates as designed or is improved to the necessary level of performance. „h Assist in the planning, installation and commissioning of future phases as appropriate. „h As part of the Service team, support the maintenance of all Aircogen customer solutions through the ¡¥on call¡¦ rota.
