| Reporting to the Processing Director this new position will be based at Anwick, though you will be required to cover Bury and Ashbourne sites as well. Core hours of work will be 8.00am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday, though the job will involve covering all shifts and weekends. This position is a ¡¥hands on¡¦, proactive role requiring an individual who is an excellent communicator, well organised, creative, self motivated, uses their initiative and able to work with minimal supervision with a flexible approach to work.
You will be responsible for monitoring existing standards of performance/efficiencies within the factory and identifying and setting standards where they do not currently exist. With the ability to apply work study / timings methodology and theory to the factory positions that are most labour intensive / primarily operative controlled.
Key Responsibilities
č Identify the process norm, measure against it and use the expected efficiency and norm to develop the process cost. č Identify areas for potential improvement and measure existing process, assist relevant factory personnel to implement changes leaving in place a system to measure the process ongoing and to quantify and value the improvement. č Identify areas of process waste, values and analyse the wastage figures to see if it can be reduced or eliminated. č Publish and distribute timely and accurate information to the Senior Management team. Challenge and modify the information with a view to current business needs.
The successful applicant must be numerate, computer literate and have at least 1 years experience of working in a factory environment. In addition it would be an advantage to be experienced in operating and using method study and work study principles. You must be prepared to study for a recognised Industrial Engineering qualification (I.M.S.),or you may already be I.M.S. qualified or in the process of completing your studies. A full driving licence is essential. |
