Job Details
Required for our Market Leading client for South East are Senior/Principle Engineer. You will be part of company at the leading edge of technology looking for best of breed to work on a key prestigious project.

A Software Engineer is required to work on systems using TETRA/APCO 25 protocols. The position involves working with state of the art hardware and software similar to mobile phone technology. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to experience the full software development lifecycle. Travel abroad may also be required to assist with interoperability testing and solving problems with third party basestation infrastructure. Working in a small team of about 12 engineers will require a person who is a self-starter and is capable of managing own tasks to meet time and cost constraints and also supervise one or two other staff. The post will be based at our Reading facility where the working environment is open plan and relaxed.

Knowledge of any communications protocol (essential). Knowledge of any of the following TETRA, GSM, UMTS, DECT or APCO 25 protocols. Preferably TETRA. Embedded software development (essential). Experience of mobile radio technology.
