| G W Padley Poultry Ltd is a £200 million turnover business with an enviable reputation as one of the UK’s largest independent food manufacturing companies, providing high quality products and first class service to major retailers and food service organisations throughout the country.
We currently have an opening for a Shift Engineering Manager to play a key role in our Engineering Management team at one of our busy factories near Sleaford. Shifts are continental and rotating and the working pattern is currently under review - exact hours can be clarified at interview stage.
One of four Shift Managers reporting to the Site Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that equipment, services and utilities are always available to meet production requirements, whilst paying due regard to customer specifications, hygiene, health and safety, food safety, HACCP and productivity. You will need to prioritise and manage the workloads of the site engineers, negotiating and liaising with Production managers to ensure production continuity at all times.
Candidates should possess a strong engineering background and ideally be qualified to City and Guilds Technician standard. Equally important however will be your experience of managing people and motivating and leading a team. You will have a good understanding of cost control, excellent communication skills and a flexible ‘can do’ approach to work. Experience of working in an FMCG environment and ideally in the food sector would be preferable.
If you are ready for a challenging and demanding role, we will reward your hard work with a competitive compensation package and career development opportunities. |
